Weekly Bible Stories (In Sunday School)

Teachers will present weekly lessons based on stories from “The Gospel Story Bible.”

The Gospel Story Bible points to Jesus, helping families and kids identify Christ as the hero of every story. While it’s easy to forget Jesus in the midst of frantic schedules, family squabbles, and conflicting priorities, Machowski reminds families of God’s plan of salvation in Christ, which is continually on display throughout the Bible.

daily Bible Devotions (At Home)

Families will be given the “Long Story Short” daily devotion book to bring learning into focus at home!

With just ten minutes a day, five days a week, parents have enough time to pass on the most valuable treasure the world has ever known. Long Story Short is a family devotional program designed to cultivate honest and powerful discussion about the Bible, which is the catalyst for change in children’s lives.

JuLY 2019

What does Christ’s resurrection mean for us. What is the advantage of Christ’s ascension to us? What hope does everlasting life hold for us?

Revelation 21:4

He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away.

What is the Church? Where is Christ Now?

Ephesians 4:11-13

So Christ himself gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the pastors and teachers, to equip his people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ.

May 2019

What is the Lord’s Supper? Does the Lord’s Supper add anything to Christ’s atoning work?

1 Corinthians 11: 24-25

And when he had given thanks, he broke it, and said, “This is my body, which is for you. Do this in remembrance of me.” In the same way, he took the cup after supper saying, “This cup is the new covenant in my blood. Do this, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of me.”

APRIL 2019

What is baptism? Is the baptism with water the washing away of sin itself?

Luke 3:16

John answered them all, saying, “I baptize you with water, but he who is mightier than I is coming, the strap of whose sandals I am not worthy to untie. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire.”

March 2019

What is the Lord’s Prayer? How do we read and hear the Word of God?

Matthew 6:9

Pray then like this: “our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name, your kingdom come, your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us today our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.

Who is the Holy Spirit? What do we know about Him?

John 14:16-17

And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Helper to be with you forever, even the Spirit of truth, whom even the world cannot receive, because it neither sees him or knows him. You know him, for he dwells with you and will be in you.

December 2018

What is the whole Christmas-thing all about?

It’s all a bit confusing! What does Santa have to do with Baby Jesus? Why do we cut down trees and put them in our house? Was Jesus really born on December 25th? and Why do we call it Christmas anyway?

This month, we’re learning about Advent - - Did you know that means “Coming”. We’re getting ready for Baby Jesus coming! And trying to figure out how all of this Christmas stuff works.

John 1:14

And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us. And we have seen His glory as of the only son of God full of grace and truth.

PCF Give Thanks Youth Choir!

October 2018

Should those who have faith in Christ seek their salvation through their own works or anywhere else?

Since we are redeemed by grace alone, through Christ alone, must we still do good works and obey God’s Word?

What do justification and sanctification mean?Since we are redeemed by grace alone, through faith alone, where does this faith come from?

Titus 3:4-6

But when the goodness and loving kindness of God our Savior appeared, he saved us, not because of works done by righteousness, but according to his own mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewal of the Holy Spirit, whom he poured out on us richly through Jesus Christ our Savior.

September 2018

What is faith in Jesus Christ?

What do we believe by true faith?

What do justification and sanctification mean?

Galatians 2:20

I have been cricified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who love me and gave himself for me.

August 2018

Are all people, just as they were lost through Adam, saved through Christ?

What happens after death to those not united to Christ by faith?

How can we be saved?

John 3:16

For God so loved the world that He gave His only son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life.

1 Corinthians 15:22

For as in Adam all die, so in Christ all will be made alive.
